# Status Explained

A requisition and the related purchase orders will move through different statuses as they are processed. A green tick above a status indicates that the document has moved past that stage. A requisition has it's own distinct set of statuses as compared to a purchase order.

The statuses a document moves through are slightly different depending on whether requisition approval or purchase order approval is used.
